What time do I need to arrive and where do I go?
Parking is available at Blue Lagoon Beach, Dodges Ferry - a short 35-minute drive from Hobart.
The sauna is located on Private Property overlooking the Southern end of Blue Lagoon Beach, a short 2 minute stroll from the car park. As soon as you turn onto Tigerhead road turn left, down the dirt road into the Blue Lagoon Beach Car Park and use the path to the beach.
Once on the beach, turn right and walk the short distance to the track at the end of the beach. Proceed approximately 5 metres and turn right through the gate to the sauna path. Please arrive on time for your session.
How does the sauna work?
The sauna features an environmentally friendly electric sauna, maintaining an optimal temperature of 70 degrees Celsius. Guests can indulge in hot and cold therapy by alternating between the sauna and the optional ocean water plunge or the fresh water outdoor shower.
What amenities are available on the sauna?
At Secret Beach Sauna, guests can enjoy a Tasmanian Timber sauna room, changing facilities, and a relaxation deck. The sauna offers a beach front location where guests can experience the picturesque yet invigoratingly calm waters of Blue Lagoon Beach. Cool off with a salty ocean swim in front of the sauna.
Public Toilets are located at the playground on Tiger Head Road.

The shared sauna session accommodates up to 5 people, ensuring an intimate experience. Private sessions can host up to 5 individuals in your group.
How long is a sauna session?
Each sauna session lasts 60 minutes, allowing ample time for sauna relaxation and hot-cold therapy.
